ATLANTA, August 26, 2024 – Alycen A. Moss, co-vice chair of Cozen O'Connor’s Global Insurance Department, has received the Pro Bono Service Award for her outstanding pro bono contributions to the Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) and its Piedmont region. Alycen was recognized for providing over a decade of pro bono work for GLSP and its clients. In 2023, 1,293 cases were accepted by GLSP’s Piedmont Regional Office. Of those, approximately 90 cases were handled on a pro bono basis by local area attorneys with a commitment to service. The recipient of the Pro Bono Award exemplifies that commitment.
Alycen concentrates her practice in civil litigation, and she has extensive experience with matters pertaining to property, casualty, environmental, professional liability, commercial general liability, and trucking issues. She also regularly litigates civil and commercial matters pertaining to transportation and logistics, as well as mass and complex torts and class actions. Alycen has also litigated complex cases involving environmental and toxic exposures, including asbestos, diacetyl, mold, and chemical exposures. Despite the many obligations that Alycen has at Cozen O’Connor, she has undertaken the greatest efforts to promote pro bono successes in the community, in partnership with GLSP.
Georgia Legal Services Program is a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit law firm that provides free civil legal services for persons with low incomes, creating equal access to justice and opportunities out of poverty. Founded in 1971, GLSP serves eligible individuals in the 154 Georgia counties outside of Metro Atlanta.
