Chad concentrates his practice on corporate, commercial, and securities law. He advises public and private companies on a broad range of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements, public offerings, strategic investments and collaborations, and corporate reorganizations. Chad also advises clients on their general corporate matters, commercial transactions, and negotiations.
Before joining Cozen O'Connor, Chad was a corporate and securities associate in the Vancouver offices of two of Canada’s leading national law firms, where he gained valuable experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, subscription agreements, and other transaction documents; managing due diligence and closing logistics; and advising on corporate governance, regulatory, and stock exchange matters.
Chad earned his H.B.Sc., with high distinction, from the University of Toronto. Before entering law school, Chad worked as an account manager for a software company, where he gained experience building positive client relationships and delivering exceptional client service. He earned his J.D. from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, where he participated in negotiation and arbitration competitions.
