Karina concentrates her practice on defending businesses against various tort claims, including product liability claims. Karina has gained significant litigation experience in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state and federal courts, including drafting and arguing pleadings, motions, and briefs; defending depositions; conducting written discovery; attending site inspections; negotiating with opposing counsel; and leading strategic client meetings. Karina’s efforts have successfully led to dismissals of cases against her clients on numerous occasions.
Karina was also a summer associate at Cozen O’Connor during the summer of 2020. Before that, Karina worked at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, interned for Family Law Magistrate Judge at Frederick County Circuit Court, and was a research analyst at Potomac Advocates in Washington, D.C., where she examined legislative budgets for defense allocations to provide strategic reports to clients, attended hearings on Capitol Hill, and coordinated industry events.
Karina earned her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Salisbury University and her law degree, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. While in law school, she served as Reimel Coordinator to the Moot Court Board, where she won the 60th Annual Thomas L. Reimel Moot Court Competition and finished as a quarterfinalist at the National August A. Rendigs, Jr. National Products Liability Moot Court Competition. Karina also held the vice president and president position of the Juvenile Law Society during her time at Villanova.
